Sunset Sound’s three studios have produced more than 300 gold records but they could be ruined by a filthy homeless camp next to the building. Garbage is stacked high, needles and pipes are scattered on the ground and homeless people use the street as a toilet.

“Now And Then”: AI Used On Final Version Of John Lennon’s Song

Paul McCartney revealed that The Beatles’ new recording featuring additions from artificial intelligence will be released later this year. With a little help from AI, the voice of John Lennon was retrieved from an old demo, also subsequently completed by the technology. Although the name of the song hasn’t been revealed, it is believed to be “Now and Then”, a 1978’s composition written by Lennon at his New York apartment. It was one of the compositions featured on a cassette labelled “For Paul”.

Canadian Music Week 2023: Day 1 – The Future Of Music And Technology

The 41st Canadian Music Week (CMW) kicked off at the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto last week, with a jam-packed schedule of events and performances. The evenings were filled with some of the brightest new and established Canadian artists, including Charlotte Cardin, Tumble, Fuego, Grace May, Virginia To Vegas, and Badflower. The days were filled with a series of expert panels covering topics from sync licensing to Afrobeats to new release marketing strategies.

Moog Joins Forces With inMusic

Legendary American synthesiser company Moog Music joins Akai Pro, Alesis, M-Audio and other brands under the umbrella of inMusic. Elaborating on the company’s decision, Joe Richardson, president of Moog Music, stressed challenges and the need for support from a bigger corporation: “Devoted to maintaining the sound, quality, and manufacturing philosophy that Moog is known for, inMusic is able to offer solutions to support the areas that have been ongoing challenges for our company as a small manufacturing business”. Moog came to a decision to sell the business to inMusic after substantial time searching for a new buyer.
