Homeless Hell: The Camp That Could Kill Rock History

Sunset Studio, one of the few remaining recording studios in Hollywood after many closed due to high costs and new technologies, faces a danger worse than a single wild rock star. Sunset Sound’s three studios have produced more than 300 gold records but they could be ruined by a filthy homeless camp next to the building. Garbage is stacked high, needles and pipes are scattered on the ground and homeless people use the street as a toilet.

Pitchfork Effect

Last week, media company Condé Nast revealed its plan...

Wow, what a monumental achievement! Post Malone, the “genius” behind such classic works of musical art as “Rockstar” and “Sunflower,” is set to receive the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award for Young Creators. I mean, who wouldn’t be thrilled to be in the same company as previous winners such as Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran?

Let’s take a moment to reflect on the immense talent that has earned Post Malone this prestigious award. With his profound lyrics such as “I’ve been f\*\*kin’ hoes and poppin’ pillies / Man, I feel just like a rockstar” and “And you’re left in the dust / Unless I stuck by ya / You’re a sunflower / I think your love would be too much,” it’s clear that Post Malone is a true wordsmith. Move over, Shakespeare!

It’s also worth noting the incredible musicality that Post Malone brings to the table. I mean, who else could create such groundbreaking melodies as “Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun, hey” (from “Rockstar”) and “Ayy, ayy, ayy, ayy (ooh)” (from “Sunflower”)? It’s no wonder he’s being recognized as a young creator – he’s already contributed so much to the world of music! It’s a shame Frank is no longer with us. I would love to have heard his cover of Sunflower.

Some might argue that there are other young artists out there who are more deserving of this award, but those people are clearly just jealous of Post Malone’s incredible talent. I mean, sure, there are artists out there who write meaningful, heartfelt lyrics and create complex, innovative melodies, but do they have face tattoos and a penchant for Bud Light? I think not.
